Talking about the recycling value of lithium batteries When it comes to waste batteries, the first thing that comes to mind is household waste batteries and waste lead batteries. In recent years, lithium batteries have been accepted as a new type of energy storage method. Nowadays, a large number of lithium batteries are used in travel tools and electronic equipment. The recycling of lithium batteries is imminent. Shanghai Bao'e Industrial lithium battery manufacturers attach great importance to lithium battery recycling. 1. The demand for lithium battery power continues to rise. The use of lead-acid batteries as power in low-speed electric vehicles is largely due to the cost advantages of lead-acid batteries. Lead-acid batteries are relatively mature, stable in performance, and safe. However, due to the huge environmental pollution risk of lead-acid batteries and the continuous development of lithium battery technology, as well as the advantages of lithium batteries in terms of capacity and service life, lithium batteries as power will become the development trend of low-speed electric vehicles. It is foreseeable that more and more used lithium batteries will be received in the maintenance workshop in the future. 2. Waste lithium batteries have a strong recycling value. The anode, cathode, diaphragm, electrolyte and other materials contain a large amount of precious metals. The cathode materials of different power lithium batteries contain different precious metals, among which the most potential metals are cobalt, lithium and nickel. For example, the average content of lithium in a ternary battery is 1.9%, nickel is 12.1%, and cobalt is 2.3%. In addition, the proportions of copper and aluminum have reached 13.3% and 12.7% respectively, which have high recycling value. At present, some companies have begun to collect lithium batteries for a fee. 3. Improper disposal of waste lithium batteries will threaten the environment and health. Although lithium batteries do not contain mercury, cadmium, lead and other toxic heavy metals, they can also cause environmental pollution. For example, once the electrode material enters the environment, metal ions in the positive electrode of the battery, carbon dust in the negative electrode, strong alkali and heavy metal ions in the electrolyte may cause heavy environmental pollution, including increasing the pH of the soil, if improper handling and toxic gases may be generated . In addition, the metals and electrolytes contained in lithium batteries pose health threats, such as cobalt, which can cause intestinal disorders, deafness and myocardial ischemia. Therefore, the disposal of waste lithium batteries can not only bring economic benefits, but also contribute to environmental protection and sustainable social and economic development. 4. How to store waste lithium batteries. Battery expansion. Lithium is a metal that is prone to chemical reactions, so it is easy to stretch and burn. For example, improper handling during storage and transportation can easily lead to accidents such as combustion and explosion. Therefore, special care should be taken during lithium storage: do not disassemble the battery casing without permission. If the battery case is damaged, please wrap it with stretch film 3-5 times. Keep the battery in a cool, dry and ventilated place. Prevent direct sunlight, high temperature, rain and soaking. c. Pay attention to the insulation treatment of the exposed wires of the battery, and paste the positive and negative wires (red and black wires) with insulation stickers. D. If a single battery is found to be short-circuited and a fire is caused by hand heat, please immediately put the battery in the pool or bucket. The water should be above the battery; if the high temperature fire of the battery string cannot be controlled, please evacuate immediately and report the fire treatment. No matter what, the used lithium battery can not only be recycled and sold, but it is also a good thing for the country and the people.
