How to maintain the drone battery

by:Vglory      2021-05-08
According to the UAV battery discharge curve, when the battery is discharged below 3.7V, the voltage drop speed will increase, and poor control will cause overdischarge. It is easy to damage the battery. Some flying friends will over-discharge every time they fly because of the small number of batteries. Such battery life is very short. Buy two more batteries. Don't use the battery to the limit every time. Make good use of the battery alarm and stop as soon as the alarm is issued. However, overcharging is important for chargers. Some chargers do not have a full power-off function. In addition, some chargers are prone to overcharging in the face of component aging problems. So someone needs to take care of the charging process. When charging, it must be charged according to the specified charging C number or a lower C number of the drone battery, and the specified charging current must not be exceeded. If the battery is not fully charged, the fully charged drone battery cannot be stored for more than 3 days. If it is not discharged for more than a week, some drone batteries will be swollen. Some batteries may not bulge temporarily, but they can be stored several times when fully charged. Later, the battery may be directly scrapped. If the battery is not used within three months, the battery should be charged and discharged once and then stored, which can extend the battery life. The battery storage environment should be placed in a cool, dry and non-corrosive environment, the approximate temperature is 10~25℃. Not damaging the outer skin The outer skin of the drone battery is an important structure to prevent the battery from exploding and leaking and catching fire. So handle the battery with care, and be careful not to drop the battery. No short-circuit short-circuit is more likely to cause the battery to catch fire and explode. Here you need to pay attention not to let the electric soldering iron touch the positive and negative electrodes at the same time when re-welding the wire. During the transportation of the UAV battery, the battery should be placed in an explosion-proof box to prevent short circuits caused by bumps or collisions. Safe place environment 1. Charge and discharge in low/low temperature environment. Extreme temperature will affect the performance and life of the battery. The battery must be in a cooling state before charging, no longer in severe cold, sun exposure, or charging and discharging near the heat source. 2. Store in a cool environment. Long-term storage of batteries should be placed in a sealed bag or sealed explosion-proof box. The recommended environment temperature is 10~25C, and it is dry and non-corrosive gas. 3. Heat the UAV battery before taking off, and keep the battery in a warm environment. When flying at low temperatures, try to shorten the time to half of the normal temperature to ensure safe flight. In the north or high-altitude areas, there are often low-temperature weather. When the UAV battery is placed outside or flying, the discharge performance will be greatly reduced, and the flight time at normal temperature will cause problems. In a low temperature environment, the pressure drop will be very fast, at this time the alarm voltage should be appropriately increased to deal with special situations.
