How to improve the fast charging performance of lithium batteries?

Lithium battery manufacturers teach you how to improve the fast charging performance of lithium batteries. The essence of fast charging and discharging of lithium batteries is that lithium ions can be quickly deintercalated between the positive and negative materials. Battery material properties, process design, and charging and discharging systems will all have an impact on the high-current charging performance. The excellent electrical conductivity of graphene can increase the conductivity of the electrode material, thereby increasing the charging and discharging speed of lithium batteries; the two-dimensional layered structure of graphene can effectively prevent the electrode material from pulverizing due to volume changes during the charging and discharging process; Graphene can also well improve the high-current charge and discharge performance, cycle stability and safety of lithium batteries. There are many charging methods for lithium batteries. For the requirements of fast charging, the important methods include pulse charging, Reflex charging, and smart charging. Different battery types have different applicable charging methods. Reflex fast charging method The Reflex fast charging method is also known as the reflective charging method or the hiccup charging method. Each work cycle of this method includes three stages: forward charging, reverse instantaneous discharge and stop charging. It solves the phenomenon of battery polarization to a large extent and speeds up the charging speed. But reverse discharge will shorten the life of the lithium battery. In each charging cycle, first use 2C current charging time Tc of 10s, then stop charging time of Tr1 of 0.5s, reverse discharge time of Td of 1s, stop charging time of Tr2 of 0.5s, each charge The cycle time is 12s. As the charging progresses, the charging current will gradually decrease. Pulse charging During the pulse charging process, the voltage drop rate of the lithium battery will gradually slow down, and the charging stop time T0 will become longer. When the constant current charging duty cycle is as low as 5% to 10%, the battery is considered to be fully charged and the charging is terminated. Compared with the conventional charging method, pulse charging can be charged with a larger current, and the concentration polarization and ohmic polarization of the battery will be eliminated during the non-charging period, so that the next round of charging can proceed more smoothly, and the charging speed is fast. The temperature change is small, and the impact on battery life is small, so it is widely used at present.
