The process of recovery and settlement of used lithium batteries mainly includes pre-solution, secondary solution and in-depth solution. Because there is still some electricity remaining in the used battery, the pre-solving process contains deep discharge process, rupture, and physical sorting; the purpose of the second solution is to complete the separation of the positive and negative active materials from the substrate. Thermal solutions and organic solvents are commonly used. Method, lye dissolution method and electrolysis method to complete the separation of the two completely; the in-depth solution includes the two processes of leaching and separation and purification to extract valuable metal materials. According to the classification of the extraction process, the recovery methods of lithium batteries can be divided into three categories: dry recovery, wet recovery and biological recovery. 1. Dry recovery Dry recovery refers to the recovery of materials or valuable metals without passing through the prefaces such as solution. Among them, the main methods used are physical separation and high temperature pyrolysis. 2. Wet recovery The wet recovery process is to rupture and dissolve the waste batteries, and then use appropriate chemical reagents to select the metal elements in the leaching solution to produce high-grade cobalt metal or lithium carbonate, etc., and recover them straight. Wet method recovery is more suitable for recovery of waste lithium batteries with a relatively single chemical composition, and the equipment cost is relatively low, and it is suitable for small and medium-sized plans to recover waste lithium batteries. Therefore, this method is also widely used at present. 3. Biological recovery Mishra and others use inorganic acids and acidophilic Thiobacillus ferrooxidans to extract metals from waste lithium batteries, and use S and ferrous ions (Fe2+) to generate metabolic products such as H2SO4 and Fe3+ in the leaching medium.
