How to store button batteries?

by:Vglory      2021-03-05
The button battery storage method: you can remove it and put it in a plastic bag, or another place that can prevent moisture. Button battery, also called button battery, refers to a battery with a small button shape, generally larger in diameter and thinner (relative to cylindrical batteries such as AA batteries on the market). Button batteries are divided into batteries from the appearance. The same corresponding battery classification includes cylindrical batteries, square batteries, and special-shaped batteries. Button battery storage is not easy to run out of electricity: whether it is a nickel battery or a lithium ion battery, it has strict requirements on the temperature and humidity of the environment when it is used or stored. Among all environmental factors, the temperature affects the charging of the battery. The discharge performance has the greatest impact. The electrochemical reaction at the electrode/electrolyte interface is related to the ambient temperature, and the electrode/electrolyte interface is regarded as the heart of the battery. If the temperature drops, the reaction rate of the electrodes also drops. Assuming that the battery voltage remains constant and the discharge current decreases, the power output of the battery will also decrease. If the temperature rises, the opposite is true, that is, the battery output power will rise, and the temperature will also affect the transfer speed of the electrolyte. The temperature rise will speed up, the transfer temperature will drop, and the transfer will slow down, and the battery charge and discharge performance will also be affected. However, if the temperature is too high, exceeding 45°C, it will destroy the chemical balance in the battery and cause side reactions. Too high ambient humidity will speed up the battery's self-discharge speed, which is not conducive to long-term storage of the battery or even short circuit. Reminder: Try to prevent the battery from appearing outdoors in extremely cold weather, pay attention to the temperature outside the battery; storage in a low temperature environment can slow down the battery's self-discharge rate, but pay attention to prevent dew before use.
