Electric vehicles are popular with everyone because of their environmental protection, convenience and other advantages. But people often complain about electric vehicle batteries and chargers. In fact, many problems are caused by man-made causes. So, how to maintain electric vehicle batteries and chargers? 1. Do not inferior chargers. Inferior chargers have unstable voltage and current and poor heat dissipation. Frequent use will not only cause damage to the battery, but may also cause a fire. 2. Do not change the charger at will. The charger parameters of different electric vehicles are basically different. Don't change the charger or use someone else's charger without knowing the charger. 3. Keep the charger from long-term bumps. Generally, chargers are rarely used badly. Most of them are bumped during riding. Therefore, the charger is not resistant to strong vibration. Therefore, the charger should not be placed in the trunk or basket of the electric bicycle. The charger can be packed with foam to prevent vibration and bumps. 4. Develop the habit of charging every day. It is recommended that you charge it every day, the life of the battery will be prolonged. If it is often used without being fully charged, the battery will produce a kind of 'memory 5. Fully charge each time. After the indicator light changes color, the charger appears to be fully charged on the surface, but the battery is not fully charged in fact. Over a long period of time, undercharge accumulation will be formed, so after the battery is fully charged and turned into light, continue to charge for a while to prevent battery vulcanization. 6. Complete discharge regularly. Ride to the first under-voltage protection under normal load conditions on a flat road. After the complete discharge is completed, the battery is fully charged. A complete discharge of the battery on a regular basis also helps to activate the battery, which can slightly increase the battery capacity. 7. Pay attention to the charging environment. The best ambient temperature for charging is 25°C. Charging in winter or summer will cause overcharging or undercharging. Therefore, the battery and charger are generally arranged in a ventilated environment with a room temperature of 25°C. 8. Do not expose the battery to high temperature. Do not expose the electric car to the sun. An environment with too high temperature will increase the internal pressure of the battery, and the battery pressure limiting valve will be forced to open automatically. The direct consequence is to increase the battery's water loss. The excessive loss of water in the battery will inevitably lead to a decrease in battery activity, accelerate the softening of the electrode plate, heat the shell during charging, and cause fatal damage such as bulging and deformation of the shell. 9. Develop good power-saving habits. When you are about to encounter a red light or go downhill, try to use the power off in advance to slow down as much as possible to minimize braking. When starting, turn the handle slowly to avoid the impact of high current on the battery, and to reduce battery power loss and life damage. 10. When charging, plug in the battery box plug before plugging in the power source. Due to the large charging current of the battery, if the charger is plugged into the AC terminal first, the charger power supply will complete the startup state, so that once the battery is inserted, a large inrush current will be generated. The excessive inrush current will easily damage the charger and cause damage to the battery. The service life of the battery is affected. On the contrary, give the charger a soft start process, so that the charging current will have a delay and gradually increase the start process, which is beneficial to the protection of equipment. The above is some maintenance knowledge of electric vehicle batteries and chargers, I hope it will be helpful to everyone. Previous: How to charge an electric vehicle battery alone?
