But cadmium and arsenic have serious harm to the human body. Cadmium can cause liver and kidney damage, causing anemia, high blood pressure, neuralgia, bone softness, nephritis and secretion disorders. Arsenic destroys the oxidation-reduction ability of cells, affects normal cell metabolism, causes tissue damage and body disorders, and leads to many serious diseases such as cancer. Excessive inhalation of arsenic can directly cause poisoning and death. After 2014, according to the 'Lead Storage Battery Industry Access Conditions' formulated by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Environmental Protection, and industry associations, it is clearly stipulated that the existing lead storage batteries and their lead-containing components with cadmium content higher than 0.002% or arsenic content higher than 0.1% Production capacity should be eliminated before December 31, 2013.　　Batteries strictly abide by national regulations. The batteries produced do not contain arsenic and cadmium.
