Recycling and dismantling of lithium-ion batteries. Refers to the removal of lithium-ion batteries with no cascade utilization value and the recovery of materials such as nickel, cobalt, manganese, and lithium ion. This is also one of the ways to recycle lithium-ion batteries on a large scale. In fact, there are still some problems with the first and second recycling methods. For example, the cascading use of lithium-ion batteries, with too many types of lithium-ion batteries and scattered output, undoubtedly poses greater challenges to the company's recycling technology. However, dismantling and recycling place great technical and financial requirements on the company. Therefore, the recycling of lithium-ion batteries mainly adopts the method of disassembly and recycling, and the technical requirements are not high, but on the other hand, this method requires a huge amount of funds. There are three important types of battery recycling participants in my country: 1. Third-party recycling companies. Advantages: synergy effect of professional technology, qualification and renewable resource industry. GEM (has China's largest core base for waste battery recycling, accounting for more than 10% of the total number of waste batteries in China each year, processing more than 50,000 tons of cobalt nickel raw materials and lithium ion battery cathode materials each year, creating battery recycling-raw material recycling-material recycling -Battery pack recycling-the new energy life cycle value chain of new energy vehicle services. 2. Battery manufacturer. Advantages: vertical extension of the industrial chain, creating cost advantages. Bangpu processes more than 20,000 tons of waste batteries every year. Narada Power’s leading product is valve-regulated sealed lead-acid batteries. June 2015 , It acquired a 51% stake in Huabo Technology and entered the field of lead-acid battery recycling. In November 2017, it invested 100 million yuan to establish a wholly-owned subsidiary Anhui Department. 3. Battery material supplier. Advantages: Broaden the source of raw materials. Huayou Cobalt Industry Co., Ltd. controls resources and expands the market. With its own mineral resources as the guarantee, it mainly processes lithium-ion battery cathode material precursors, cobalt chemicals and copper-nickel metals. March 2017, Huayou Recycling Technology Co., Ltd. was established with a registered capital of 200 million yuan. In August 2017, Huayou Recycling announced the acquisition of 100% of Birun Biotechnology Co., Ltd. and 70% of South Korea’s TMC Company to enter the field of battery dismantling and recycling.
