UPS battery maintenance solutions 1. Power on and off sequence In order to prevent the load from damaging the UPS caused by the inrush current at the moment of startup, the UPS should be supplied with power when in use, so that it is in bypass mode, and then the loads are turned on one by one. The impact of load current on the UPS is prevented, and the service life of the UPS can be prolonged. The shutdown sequence can be regarded as the reverse process of the startup sequence. First, turn off the loads one by one, and then turn off the UPS. 2. Before starting up, first confirm whether the polarity of the input mains connection is correct to ensure personal safety. Note that the total power of the load cannot be greater than the rated power of the UPS. The UPS should be prevented from working in an overload state to ensure that the UPS can work normally. 3. After shutting down, after the utility power is interrupted, after the UPS battery pack is powered and automatically shut down, do not use the UPS battery pack to power on to prevent the battery from being damaged due to over-discharge. When the utility power is abnormal and the UPS battery pack is used for power supply, the load should be turned off and shut down in time, and the utility power should be turned on again after the utility power returns to normal. 4. The operating environment is similar to that of a computer, and the requirements of UPS on the ambient temperature are also not very high. Usually, it can work normally at 0℃~40℃. But the dustproof problem also plagues the UPS. The operating environment of the UPS requires a clean, less dusty, and dry environment. A dusty and humid environment will cause the UPS to work abnormally. The UPS battery pack has higher temperature requirements. The standard operating temperature is 25°C, and it is best not to exceed the range of 15°C to 30°C in normal times. 5. Battery maintenance The UPS battery pack will have self-discharge. If it is left unused for a long time, it will cause damage to the battery pack. Therefore, it should be charged and discharged regularly. If you are using a maintenance-free absorption electrolyte system battery, no gas will appear during normal use, but if the user improper use causes the battery pack to be overcharged, gas will appear, and the internal pressure of the battery pack will increase. In severe cases, the battery will swell, deform, leak or even rupture. If you find this phenomenon, you should immediately replace the battery pack.
