Brief description of lithium battery recycling

According to the forecast of my country Automotive Technology Research Center, by 2020, the total scrap volume of lithium-ion batteries for electric vehicles in my country will reach 120,000 to 170,000 tons. After dismantling the lithium-ion battery of the new energy vehicle power, it must be professionally solved, otherwise it will seriously pollute the environment. However, the current recycling systems for scrapped automobiles and used batteries in my country are mostly based on traditional scrapped automobiles and general used batteries, which cannot deal with the recovery and reuse of power lithium-ion batteries. Based on the sustainable development of the company’s sense of social responsibility, strong technical accumulation and deep understanding of electric energy treatment methods, a total investment of 200 million yuan is planned to build a 30,000-square-meter waste and new energy vehicle dismantling and recycling project. It is expected that the project will be completed in 2017 and will be able to comprehensively solve 20,000 end-of-life vehicles and 30,000 tons of power lithium-ion batteries annually. Through the dismantling of used new energy vehicles and battery recycling and reuse, not only can effectively improve battery utilization efficiency and create new profit margins, but also guard against the pollution of soil by waste batteries, and will greatly reduce the cost of new energy vehicles. The cascading use of power lithium-ion batteries has very important practical significance for saving resources and promoting the coordinated development of society, economy and environment.
