The five major batteries of power lithium batteries 1 metal-air battery Theoretically, the capacity density of metal-air batteries is unlimited. Oxygen in the air is used as the positive electrode, and active metals such as aluminum, magnesium, zinc, and lithium are used as the negative electrode material, which can obtain ultra-high energy density. However, the research and development cost of air batteries is very high, and its problems have not been solved. 2 The energy density limit of solid-state batteries and liquid lithium batteries is 350Wh/kg. Lithium battery+membrane adopts solid electrolyte to replace the solid battery, the energy density can reach 500-600wh/kg, and the energy density of the positive and negative materials is higher. It is recognized as the next generation lithium battery technology. Toyota, BMW, Fisker, Boloy, Panasonic, Samsung, Mitsubishi, Hyundai, Dyson, CATL and other companies are stepping up their solid-state battery reserves. 3. The theoretical specific capacity and specific energy of elemental sulfur of lithium-sulfur batteries can reach 1675mAh/g and 2567wh/kg, respectively. Sulfur also has the advantages of low price and environmental protection, and it is expected to become an ideal cathode material for the next generation. The power of lithium-sulfur batteries of the same quality is 6 to 7 times that of traditional lithium batteries, but their lifespan is not very long. In the future, lithium-sulfur batteries will become ideal alternative products after their cycle life reaches the same level as lithium batteries. 4 Fuel power cell Fuel power cell is a power generation device that directly converts the chemical energy of fuel and oxidant into electrical energy through electrochemical reactions. In addition to hydrogen, common fuels include methanol, hydrazine, hydrocarbons and carbon monoxide. Hydrogen fuel power battery has the characteristics of zero emission, long battery life, short hydrogenation time, etc., and has become an important technical route to compete with lithium batteries. But at the same time, it is also facing hydrogen production, hydrogen storage and safety issues, as well as rare platinum catalyst issues. 5 Graphene battery Graphene is known as the king of materials. It has excellent properties such as thermal conductivity, electrical conductivity, and specific surface area. It is the material of choice for energy storage, electronics, and optoelectronic devices. After being applied to the battery field, its fast charging, high temperature resistance and other properties are significantly improved. Although graphene has become the focus of many competitions, governments and industries have also made arrangements, but due to cost and other issues, there are still many problems in the application of graphene. At present, the most important application in the market is as additives and auxiliary materials, so it is difficult to exert its true strength, so it is also called industrial monosodium glutamate. For example, a battery in which graphene is added to a lithium battery or used as a conductive agent to improve fast charging performance is called a graphene battery, not a true graphene battery.
