It is estimated that the recovery of cobalt, nickel, manganese, lithium, iron, and aluminum from waste lithium batteries will create a recycling market worth 5.323 billion yuan in 2018, 10.1 billion yuan worth of recycling markets in 2020, and value in 2023 A 25 billion yuan recycling market. Therefore, the recycling of power lithium-ion batteries will become the key to the development of domestic new energy vehicles. From February 1st next year, three new national standards for power lithium-ion batteries, including the detection of residual energy for recycling and utilization of automotive power lithium-ion batteries, will be officially implemented. With the further improvement of the national standard system, the disordered recycling and cascade utilization of power batteries are expected to be improved. Cascade utilization refers to the reuse of waste power lithium-ion batteries in the fields of energy storage, distributed photovoltaic power generation, and low-speed electric vehicles. When the battery cannot be used in cascade, it must be disassembled and recycled. Xu Shengming, a researcher at the Institute of Nuclear Energy and New Energy Technology of Tsinghua University, believes that there is a huge market for the recycling and cascading utilization of waste batteries. It is in the stage of technology accumulation and research and development. The innovation of future recycling technology and cascade utilization technology is an important manifestation of the company's competitiveness. It is predicted that by 2020, my country's demand for energy storage lithium batteries will reach 1.664 billion kilowatt-hours. From 2017 to 2020, the market growth rate will remain above 40%. If the energy storage market can achieve a rapid rise through the price reduction of batteries, it is expected to bring about an increase in equipment demand. Currently, there are no leading companies in my country's lithium battery energy storage market. Major companies are in the stage of deployment, with an output value of less than 500 million yuan. Due to the unclear domestic energy storage policy, lithium battery energy storage batteries are relatively expensive and there are some technical bottlenecks. According to the 2017-2022 my country Lithium Battery Market Research and Forecast Report of the my country Business Research Institute, the size of my country’s lithium battery energy storage market in 2016 was approximately 5.2 billion yuan. BYD has the largest share of the energy storage battery market at 14%. Fuyuan and Sun Yang followed closely behind with 7%.
