How does the battery work? Inside the battery, when the chemical reaction starts, extra electrons are released and the battery starts to discharge. The process of releasing extra electrons is like the process of iron oxidation and rusting. Iron reacts with oxygen to release electrons to oxygen to form iron oxides. The standard battery structure is to separate two metals or compounds with different chemical potentials with a layer of porous insulator. The chemical potential is the energy stored between the atom and the chemical bond. When the electron can move freely in the external device connected to it, the energy can be transferred to the moving electrons. Conductive liquids such as salt water are often used to transport soluble ions. During the reaction, these ions can be transferred from the surface of one metal to the surface of another metal in the solution. We usually call such conductive liquids electrolytes. . In the discharge process, the metal or compound that loses electrons is called the anode, and the metal or compound that gains electrons is called the cathode. In the external circuit, electrons flow from the anode to the cathode, and this is the current we use to drive electrical equipment. Precautions for battery use 1) It is recommended that the battery be used at +5°C~+30°C (preferably 25°C), high temperature will shorten the life and low temperature capacity; 2) Different brands, different capacities, and different old and new batteries are strictly prohibited from mixing Use; 3) Hydrogen will appear during battery use, so keep away from fire, keep ventilation to prevent explosion; 4) Keep the environment clean, too much dust can cause the battery to short circuit; 5) Recharge the battery in time after it is discharged. Discharging a fully charged battery will cause the battery capacity to decrease or even be damaged, so it must be equipped with a suitable charger; 6) If the UPS is too lightly loaded (such as 1KVAUPS with 150VA load), it may cause deep discharge of the battery, which should be prevented as far as possible; 7 ) Proper discharge is helpful for the activation of the battery. If the city power supply is not interrupted for a long time, the battery should be discharged manually, 2 to 4 times a year, and the existing load can be used to discharge, and the time is 1/4 to 1/3 of the backup time; 8) The battery (UPS) that has been out of service for a long time should be stored after being charged, and the battery should be charged and discharged once every six months. Generally, the battery should be floated for about 4~10 hours, and work in the battery inverter state for 2~3 minutes Disclaimer: Some pictures and content of articles published on this site are from the Internet.
