Battery pack manufacturers share common terms in the battery industry. Each industry has some professional names in each industry, and the battery industry is no exception. The following electronics share the common terms and meanings in the battery industry. 1. Chemical power (also known as Battery): A device that directly converts chemical energy into electrical energy. 2. Primary battery (also known as primary battery): A battery that can only be used for discharging and cannot be recovered by charging after discharging and can be used again. 3. Secondary battery (also known as rechargeable battery): A battery that can be recovered and reused by charging after discharge. 4. Open circuit voltage: The potential difference between the positive and negative poles of the battery when the external circuit is disconnected. 5. Load voltage: The potential difference between the two extremes of the battery when the battery is outputting current. 6. Nominal voltage (also known as rated voltage): The lowest value of the specified open circuit voltage of the battery. 7. Termination voltage: In the battery discharge test, the load voltage at which the discharge ends is specified. 8. Storage life: The storage period of the battery under the specified conditions. At the end of the storage, the battery can still maintain the specified performance. 9. Nominal capacity: Under certain conditions, specify the minimum amount of power that the battery should give. 10. Internal resistance: The resistance between the two poles inside the battery. 11. Cycle life: The number of charge and discharge cycles that a rechargeable battery can reach before it fails. 12. Self-discharge: The phenomenon of capacity loss caused by various reasons when the battery is charged or stored. 13. Discharge rate: The current value required when the battery discharges the rated capacity within a specified time; or the time required to discharge the rated capacity according to a certain output current. Commonly used magnification (several C) or time rate. 14. Charging rate: The current value required to charge the battery to the rated capacity within the specified time; or the time required to charge the battery to the rated capacity at a certain current. Generally expressed by magnification (several C) or time rate. 15. Constant voltage charging: A charging method that keeps the voltage at both ends of the charger constant during charging. 16. Constant current charging: A charging method in which the charging current remains constant during charging. 17. Trickle charge: A method of charging the battery with constant current at a low charge rate (C/100C/20) to keep the battery in a fully charged state. 18. Memory effect: After the battery is subjected to a specific working cycle for a long time, it will automatically maintain this specific electrical performance. The rated capacity cannot be fully discharged, and only the usual depth of discharge can be achieved. For example: a battery with a rated capacity of 100%, during use, if it is charged after it has not been used up, the battery will 'remember' this 'scale' for a long time, and when it is recharged, it will be charged to this. The scale' will no longer be easy to charge in. 19. Climbing alkali (leakage) liquid: The electrolyte in the battery flows out from the outer surface of the battery or battery parts that are not in contact with the electrolyte under normal conditions. 20. Battery/battery pack: Two or more batteries are connected in series and parallel to provide the required operating voltage and current. The battery referred to in general use only refers to a single battery. 21. Discharge current: How much current is needed to discharge during discharge. 22. Safety valve: A small exhaust hole is designed on the battery cover. When the pressure of the gas released inside the battery reaches a certain value, the small hole valve automatically opens to discharge the gas.
