This is a low pressure test, imitating the unpressurized aircraft space (cargo area) at an altitude of 15,000 meters. After the battery is stored at 11.6kPa for >6 hours, it should meet the following specifications: no mass loss, leakage, exhaust, disassembly, cracking or fire, and the voltage is within 10% of the voltage before the test. T2-Thermal Test This test involves a change in temperature extremes from -40C to +75C. The battery is stored at minus 40 degrees (12 hours for large batteries) for 6 hours, and at minus 75 degrees (12 hours for large batteries) for 6 hours, a total of 10 cycles. The test can be performed in a single chamber or a thermal shock chamber, but the conversion time should not exceed 30 minutes. The passing conditions are the same as T1. T3-oscillation This test mimics the oscillation during transportation. The test is a sinusoidal scan: 15 minutes 7Hz-200Hz-7Hz; 12 sweeps (3 hours); 3 mutually perpendicular axes. The passing conditions are the same as T1. T4-Shock This test also mimics vibrations during transportation. The test is half-sine pulse: small battery/battery 150G/6ms; large-capacity battery/battery 50G/11ms; 3 pulses in each direction; 6 directions (+/-z, +/-x, +/-y) passing The conditions are the same as T1. T5-External short circuit This test mimics the external short circuit of a battery or battery terminal. When the temperature is +55C, a short circuit (<0.1 ohm) is applied to the terminal. After maintaining for at least one hour, the temperature of the sample returns to +55+/2°C. After the specification: the temperature does not exceed +170°C and there is no disassembly, broken, or fire in the 6-hour test. Allow the fuse, current limiting circuit and venting mechanism to activate. T6-Other effects This test is only applicable to primary and secondary cells. Regarding cylindrical batteries with a diameter of >20mm, it mimics the effect on the battery condition. For cylindrical cells with a diameter of less than 20mm and all other cell structures, it mimics cell rupture. Any type of eligibility criterion is: the case temperature does not exceed +170C, and there is no disassembly or fire within 6 hours after the test. T7-Overcharge This test is only applicable to secondary batteries or rechargeable batteries. It mimics the overcharge condition of rechargeable batteries: 2 times the 24-hour charging current recommended by the manufacturer. Then the battery was monitored for fire prevention or disassembly for 7 days. T8-Forced Discharge This test only mimics the forced discharge conditions of primary and secondary cells. The specification is the same as T7. Disclaimer: Some pictures and content of articles published on this site are from the Internet. If there is any infringement, please contact to delete.
