The structure is complex and diverse, and the life of the battery is also diverse, which makes it difficult to disassemble. The second is that the echelon utilization and regeneration of power lithium-ion batteries have not yet formed a more mature technical route in terms of residual value evaluation of retired batteries, compatibility treatment of multiple batteries, and recovery of materials such as negative electrodes. On the other hand, from a cost point of view, the current power battery decommissioning volume has not yet fully formed scale, the company is difficult to achieve scale effects, resulting in difficult profitability. A person from a battery recycling company told reporters that the first batch of decommissioned lithium-ion batteries for waste power in my country has complicated specifications and models, and it is difficult for a single-type battery to form a scale. In the utilization scenario after recycling, although energy storage projects do not require high density of single batteries, the overall demand is large, even reaching megawatts. The currently eliminated power lithium-ion batteries are difficult to achieve the consistency required for energy storage. In terms of household energy storage projects, domestic demand is not high for the time being. Moreover, due to the poor quality consistency of lithium iron phosphate batteries with a large amount of decommissioning at present, they contain less valuable metal elements, and the company is basically at a loss for its dismantling and recycling, and lack of power. In addition to the scale of recovery, as a dangerous cargo, the transportation cost of power batteries through professional vehicles is 5-6 times that of ordinary transportation. Coupled with the cost of purchase and storage, the overall cost of recovery is relatively high, which makes the company unwilling to collect.
