What are the foreign separators for lithium batteries?

At present, there are only two diaphragm materials used most: PP and PE. If combined, there are three structures: PP single layer, PE single layer film, PP/PE/PP three-layer composite film; there are not many foreign diaphragm processing companies, and there are only a few. There are Celgard from the United States (currently called Ploypore), Asahi from Japan, Tonen from Japan, UBE from Japan, Entek, etc., and later there are SK from Korea, WS from Korea, CS from Korea, and Lotte from Korea. South Korea suddenly appeared a lot, but the quality is not very good. 1. The American Polypore membrane is made by dry unidirectional pulling, with relatively small porosity and relatively large air permeability detection value. It is suitable for high-capacity systems, such as mobile phone batteries and laptop batteries. The main products are PP/PE/PP. The structure of 20um Celgard2320, the PP/PE/PP structure of 16um CelgardC200, and the single-layer PP 16um CelgardA273. In addition, Celgard has a 25um thickness membrane with a single-layer PP structure, with a porosity of 50% and an air permeability of 200S/100CC. It has good rate discharge performance, but it is difficult to control short circuit and low voltage. Polypore also has diaphragms that can be used in electric vehicles, with thicknesses of 32um and 38um, which belong to a three-layer structure and have relatively good performance. 2. The membrane of UBE in Japan is mainly three-layer structure. The process is the same as that of Polypore. The porosity is larger than that of Polypore and the air permeability is better. At present, the rate battery mainly uses UBE. Its representative product is a 20um three-layer membrane with a range of air permeability. About 400; 16um three-layer film, its air permeability range is about 280. 3. The other two diaphragms in Japan are both high-end markets. Few domestic lithium power plants can use them. Both of them are single-layer PE membranes, which are made by wet methods. I will not go into details here. 4. South Korea's SK diaphragm is a wet single-layer PE film from the electron microscope, with a thickness ranging from 9um to 25um. The feature is that the porosity is very large. The short circuit rate in the lithium-ion battery process is very low, but the low voltage is very high. ; Especially for the 25um diaphragm, the porosity is very high, reaching 60%. I don’t know how the Korean Kokam controls short circuit and low pressure. The price of SK diaphragm in South Korea is medium, a bit lower than that of Japan and the United States, but much more expensive than domestic ones. Diaphragms from other Korean companies suggest that everyone should not spend any effort to evaluate for the time being, the holes are uneven, and the short circuit and low pressure are terrifying.
