What are the differences between lithium batteries and 18650 batteries?

1. The size is different. Although the 18650 and AA batteries look a bit similar, the sizes of the two are actually different. The 18650 is much larger than the AA battery in terms of length and diameter. 2. The voltage is different. The voltage of the lithium battery is generally around 3.5~4.0V, the most common is 3.7V; and the voltage of the No. 5 battery is 1.5V (non-rechargeable) or 1.2V (rechargeable). 3. Its working principle (internal chemical reaction process) is different. 4.18650 is a rechargeable battery, most of the ordinary AA batteries are disposable batteries, and very few can be recharged. 1. The voltage and capacity are not the same. The former can be charged while the latter cannot be charged. 2. Analyze from the appearance: These two kinds of batteries are cylindrical batteries, but the appearance specifications are different. The 18650 lithium battery has a diameter of 18 mm and a length of 65 mm; the rule for the No. 5 battery (in fact, the scientific name of the No. 5 battery is 14500 battery) is 14 mm in diameter and 50 mm in length. 3. Analyzed from the type: 18650 lithium batteries can be divided into 18650 lithium batteries, 18650 lithium iron phosphate batteries, 18650 nickel-metal hydride batteries; and No. 5 batteries include nickel-metal hydride rechargeable batteries, nickel-cadmium rechargeable batteries, and alkaline zinc-manganese batteries. Batteries (alkaline batteries for short), ordinary acid zinc-manganese batteries (common batteries for short), etc. Disclaimer: Some pictures and content of articles published on this site are from the Internet.
