Safety instructions and warnings for nickel-metal hydride batteries Do not mistakenly connect the polarity of nickel metal hydride (NIMH) charging and discharging battery packs. Be sure to check the polarity of the battery connector carefully to make sure that the red wire is red and the black wire is black. Do not mix old batteries with new batteries, or use batteries of different brands. Please be sure to use a smart charger (with automatic shutdown function) to charge the Ni-MH battery. If you do not pay attention to charging the Ni-MH battery, it may cause the battery to explode. When charging the Ni-MH battery, be sure to place the battery in a place where the power source is protected to avoid accidents. Be sure to comply with the charging and discharging specifications of Ni-MH batteries. Ni-MH batteries For larger battery packs (10Ah or larger), always use smart chargers with temperature sensors to prevent accidents that may be caused by overheating. Nickel metal hydride (NiMH) batteries have higher energy than nickel cadmium (NiCd) batteries, but have a higher self-discharge rate and a shorter shelf life. Therefore, NiMH/battery packs should be charged at any time after use or before storage. It is recommended that you charge NiMH and battery packs at least once every six months, otherwise NiMH will reduce capacity or crash. For safety reasons, we usually do not charge NiMH batteries once when transporting them. Finally, the panel reminds you that you must charge the Ni-MH battery before using it, and allow 3-5 charge-discharge cycles to restore the battery capacity.
