The company's silicon composite anode technology has the potential to increase the specific capacity of lithium batteries by as much as 177%, thereby making the battery energy density 50% higher than traditional or standard 'graphite only' batteries. Minguang New Materials was established in June 2003 and is a subsidiary of Fujian Sansteel Group. It is mainly engaged in the research and development, processing and sales of anode materials, silicon-based anode materials, needle coke, and graphene. At present, Minguang New Materials plans to build a '40,000 tons of high-performance carbon anode materials and coking transformation and upgrading project' in Linfen City, forming an industrial chain of 'coal-coking-high-performance artificial graphite anode materials-silicon carbon anode materials'. At present, the concentration of the domestic anode material market continues to increase, and the product gross profit margin continues to fall. As a whole, anode material companies are facing greater competitive pressure. It is expected that the competition in the anode market will intensify in the later stage, and a batch of small and medium anode companies will be eliminated.
