Like lithium iron phosphate batteries, lithium manganese phosphate is also a phosphate-based lithium battery cathode material with an olivine structure. The safety and cycle life of this material are higher than the traditional layered structure cathode material lithium cobalt oxide and ternary materials. . However, the 3.4V potential of lithium iron phosphate, which is widely used, limits the increase in battery energy density, while lithium manganese phosphate has a high potential of 4.1V. Therefore, under the same capacity, the energy density of lithium manganese phosphate batteries can be increased by about 20% than that of lithium iron phosphate batteries. Compared with the lithium iron phosphate battery of the same model, the 18650 lithium manganese phosphate cylindrical battery produced by the Chinese Academy of Sciences Ningbo Materials has the following advantages: 1. The discharge capacity is 1100mAh, the discharge voltage is 3.9V, and the energy density is 20% higher. 2. The cycle life performance is good. After 150 weeks of 1C normal temperature cycling, the capacity of the lithium battery has no obvious decline. 3. High rate performance: The battery capacity retention rate after 40C continuous discharge is 90% of 1C. 4. Low temperature performance: Discharging at 0.2C at -20℃, the capacity is 97.6% of normal temperature (25℃), even if it is discharged at -40℃, the capacity can reach 61.5%. 5.
