1. The advantages and disadvantages of lithium-ion batteries: no memory effect, lighter weight. Disadvantages: high cost, low safety factor, intolerant of over-charge (compared with NiMH). 2. The advantages and disadvantages of Ni-MH batteries: low price, strong versatility, large current, and stable environmental protection. Disadvantages: low voltage, heavy weight, short battery cycle life, and memory effect. 3. The advantages and disadvantages of nickel-cadmium batteries. Advantages: strong and cheap; disadvantages: low voltage, cadmium metal pollution, small battery capacity, short life, and memory effect. The working voltage of Ni-MH and Ni-Cd batteries is 1.2V. However, the volumetric specific energy of Ni-MH is higher than that of Ni-Cd batteries. Ni-Cd batteries have a strong memory effect, while Ni-MH has a very small memory effect. At the same time, nickel-cadmium batteries contain heavy metal cadmium, which is currently banned. However, due to the excellent high-rate discharge performance of nickel-cadmium batteries, in many power tools, nickel-hydrogen batteries cannot replace nickel-cadmium batteries. The operating voltage of the lithium-ion battery is 3.7V. The volume specific energy is higher than that of NiMH. However, since the working voltage of disposable batteries and nickel-hydrogen batteries was 1.2-1.5V before, the two serially connected batteries were 2.4V-3.0V. Most electrical appliances have already set this working voltage standard. Therefore, in the case of civilian batteries, lithium batteries cannot replace nickel-hydrogen batteries. Ni-MH, Ni-Cd, and Li-ion batteries cannot be replaced by other batteries in their respective fields. Disclaimer: Some pictures and content of articles published on this site are from the Internet.
